Welcome to the Fisher Mitchell Library

All Fisher Mitchell students visit the library at least once a week. They learn how libraries are organized, how to locate books and tapes, and how to find information. They discover all kinds of literature during "browse time" and enjoy a silent reading time every week.

Students also learn research and computer skills in the attached computer lab. Students, teachers and families are welcome to visit the library during any open time.

Student comments:

"We have a great library! I have never seen a better Hardy Boys collection! We have everything from cook books to mysteries. We even have magazines and movies." -- fifth grade student.

"We have a great selection of books which are ordered in the Dewey Decimal System. The computer teacher and the library teacher is Mrs. Shaffer. We helped her make a website for our school library where we can see all of the books in our whole library!"-- fourth grade student.

"There are tons of books and nice library teachers. Researching is easy and you can get the best books for researching or just for fun reading."  -- third grade student.
