Welcome to Katahdin's journal.  Katahdin is a moose owned by the first grade class of Mrs. D. Smith at Fisher Mitchell School, in Bath, Maine.  He is named after a very large mountain in the central part of Maine.  He has traveled a bit of the world all on his own and met lots of great children around this wonderful world.  This year he is visiting Italy.  Watch for updates to his journal from their school.

Bonjour, nous sommes les élèves de France. Nous avons bien reçu Katahdin et nous vous remercions.Voici les prénoms des élèves du CP:

Maintenant on va vous présenter les élèves du CE1:Alice-Andrea-Pauline-Clara-Chloé-Marie-Alexis -Maeva-Ella.

On vous présenter les professeurs : Monsieur Morau , Sandra Mouhica, Christine, Maryse, Monsieur Fernandez, Christiane, Peio, Dominique.

Hello, we're the students from France. We would like to thank you for sending Kathadin to us. Here are the 1st graders' names:

Katahdin a joué, ensuite nous sommes allés au poney-club. En rentrant, nous avons invité une copine à la maison. Pendant qu'on jouait, Katahdin mangeait et ensuite elle s'est endormie.

Saturday

Katahdin played, then we went to the pony-club. While returning, we invited a friend at home. While we played together, Katahdin ate and then fell asleep.

Samedi

Nous nous sommes levées et avons pris notre petit déjeuner avec  du lait et des tartines. Ensuite je l'ai habillée en clown pour danser et faire la fiesta. Nous sommes allés marcher avec des copains. Kathadin a fait du skate toute seule, puis avec ma copine qui a 12 ans. Puis elle a fait de la trottinette avec moi.

Saturday

We woke up and had our breakfast with milk and slices of buttered bread. Then I dressed Kathadin as a clown to dance and make the fiesta. We went to walk with friends. Kathadin rode skateboard by herself, then with my 12 years old friend. Then it rode  child's scooter with me.

Nous sommes allées faire du vélo pendant une minute. Ensuite on a goûté. Je lui ai aussi présenté mes peluches et nous avons joué avec elles avant d'aller dormir.

Sunday

We rode bicycle during one minute. Then we had some snack. Kathadin met my teddy bears and we played together before going to sleep.

Nous sommes allés chez Clara et lui avons montré sa maison. Kathadin a joué avec la peluche de Clara avant de rentrer. On a goûté, fait des dessins avant de prendre un bain et de se coucher.

My day with Kathadin

We went at Clara's home and showed her the house. Katahdin played with Clara's teddy bears before going back home. We had a snack and made some drawings before having a bath and go to sleep.

Le matin nous sommes allés à mon cours de danse et elle nous a regardées, puis nous sommes allées chez Clara pour manger de la pizza. Ensuiteje suis allé à mon cours de golf et j'ai amené Kathadin. Quand nous sommes revenus, nous sommes allés voir un spectacle de magie.  Au retour, c'était l'heure de se mettre en pyjama et d'aller au lit.

The day after

In the morning we went to my dance class and Kathadin looked at the class. Then we went to Clara's to have some pizza. In the afternoon, I brought Kathadin to my golf class and we went to see a magic show. When we came back, it was time to dress for the night and go to bed.

Nous sommes allés à la piscine et je l'ai présentée à ma mère. J'ai étendu mes affaires de piscine. On est allés manger, puis faire du vélo et de la trotinette.

We went to the swimming pool and I did introduce her to my mother. I care about my swimming clothes when I got back home. We had lunch, and rode bicycle and scooter.
